Meditate all the Time

Updated: Jan 20, 2022

Ever fall asleep when you meditate? I do, especially at night. But what kind of life would it be to sleep all the time? Thankfully, there are different kinds of meditation. And we can choose to be doing the kinds of meditation which do not put us to sleep, and perhaps invigorate us, with every breathe we take!

Do we simply sit all day? Obviously not. Personally, I keep moving most of the time, rarely sitting, and yet I meditate all day. Moving meditation and mindful breathing do not mean you have to sit, though sitting is one position I still use for a few brief sessions every day.

I have a standing desk, and I find standing meditation to be one of my favorite practices.

Honoring the Breath

“Every breathe you take, I'll be watching you.”

Every breath you take is a moment you get to love a little longer. It is your immediate connection to the future you. Your breath says, "Yes!" to life. Your thoughts, your calmness, your silence, all effect how you let your mind vibrate and determine your next step in life. If life is about taking one step after another, then breathe in life with your every step!

Relevant Vibration

You’ll be vibrating whether you acknowledge it or not. When you get into your vibration via meditation, you can tune into your finer vibe. Meditation takes you under the hood of your car and into the know how of the motor. You become the mechanic of your vehicle. We can make every day a beautifully vibrant one! Vibration that attracts the happiness you pursue, like two lovers running towards one another anticipating the joy of a lovers embrace.

It happens naturally when you desire

Desire of the heart and mind are united like the infinity sign.”

Meditation while you are moving, i.e. "moving meditation", is a different and unconventional way. It does not completely replace the traditional, "sit comfortably crossed-legged in an upright position", etc. i.e. traditional meditation. Moving meditation can become the bigger of the two, certainly taking up the bulk of time in my meditation practice, but both moving and sitting, and even sleeping meditation, have a honored place in a healthy mindfulness practice. Yes, meditation can become something we do while awake and asleep. Not just ten minutes once (or five) times a day, but 24 hours a day. Radical, powerful and transformative mind stuff, this infinite meditation! Most of all, very conducive to happiness and focused intention.

Get Inspired

To keep up with all things that build upon your happiness, you can start with a daily routine. I've summarized in a pamphlet called Happy Habits. In that precious pamphlet, I will show you how to gain momentum in this new better direction. From there you will see your attraction magnetically moving toward this rejuvenating way of life. Thus inspired, you'll grow naturally day by day.

Once you've had that happiness connection, you'll never have to go back to the blues. Good luck!
